If someone were to ask you the question, “which is more important, what you eat or how much?” most people would probably say how much. While both answers are correct, and valid arguments can be made for both, many people trying to lose weight will overlook the quality of their food choices and focus only on the amount of calories in that meal. Although it is true that our overall caloric intake throughout the day will have a significant impact on our weight loss, our food choices can also affect our weight by influencing our metabolic rate (how efficiently we burn calories), the thermic effect of food (the energy required to break down food we eat), and satiety (the feeling of being full).

What’s in a Name?
The roughly three pounds of gray matter housed comfortably in our heads are the seat of desire, guilt, joy, shame, hope, dreams, and everything else that makes us human. This central, wonderful, and mysterious component of our bodies is also the single most powerful determinant of our health.
Trees are often used as a metaphor for life and health. Euco™ is a name derived from the Eucommia Ulmoides tree, which is known for its healing qualities. With the use of the Euco™ application, the tree’s internal ability for health literally comes to life. The software uses the color-changing tree as a visual representation of progress as individuals realize their internal potential for better health.
